Wow! A new year! Does time ever slow down? Maybe once I'm in a rest home, it might go a little slower-until then I swear I'm going light speed.
Ella is now one month old. She is getting bigger daily, and her head is definitely red. It's fun having a girl and dressing her in pink. Kelli (little sister) is rocking Ella at the moment, so it gives me time to do this blog. Cameron blessed Ella Marie in our home on December 23rd, before he left. She is still nursing great (must be a girl thing) and is getting better at sleeping at night (eating, then going to sleep.)
Josh and Daxton had a good Christmas. It's great to experience Christmas again through the eyes of a child. Remember when it seemed like forever before Christmas would arrive? The anticipation of Santa coming...childhood is great. Daxton is currently sick with a cold/cough. He is also getting bigger and bigger-keeps me on my toes. His favorite place to be in the house is on top of the kitchen table, so there ya go. I found him the other day on top of the computer monitor, strattling it with a crayon in his mouth. He keeps us laughing. Joshua learned how to ski with his dad. Cam says Josh is a natural, and he loved to be on the slopes with his son.
Cameron left for Belgium last Monday, January 1st. We communicate via web cam-which is great because we can see him and talk at the same time-all on the computer. Plus, it's free! He is doing well, and had orientation today. He starts school next week, and is currently looking for a home for us, as well as an automobile. He is pretty lonely, and said this will be the longest 3 weeks of his life, as he waits for us to come over.
As for me, I am a single mom of 3 kids. My family and inlaws are helping me out a lot , which is great. It's still hard-I just keep telling myself "at least he's not at war". I don't know how those women do it. They are amazing. I thought I was pretty strong about stuff like this, taking care of things by myself, but my tears say otherwise. I leave with the 3 kids January 26th. My mom and sister Shera are flying with me-thank goodness!
I hope your holidays were enjoyable too. I love the holiday season, reflecting on what's really important. This next year will be a real change-but I'm excited to SLOW down a little, and to completely simplify everything. We are only taking what we can fit in a suit case, so it should be....exciting.
Keep in touch, and I will blog you next from Belgium!
Love you all,
CINDY and the Boys (and Ella too!)
